Pattonville Fire helps with toy drive for families in need

Thank you to the Pattonville Fire Protection District for its toy drive donation to assist our families in need.

On Monday morning, the Pattonville Early Childhood Center was visited not by Santa’s red sleigh, but by a bright red trailer filled with donated toys that the firefighters quickly unloaded into the school.

The Pattonville Fire Protection District hosts a “Breakfast with Santa” event every year and collects new and unwrapped children’s toys to distribute to families in the community.

Pattonville High School freshman Sophia Luraschi collected toys, books and money for a collection to help the Pattonville Fire Department's toy drive and dropped off the donations to the fire department. She collected two tubs of presents in order to help children in the district with the support of people at the high school.

Pattonville School District was also able to collaborate with West Overland Fire Department and the surrounding community to share the love and get the rest of the toys to families in need.
